ProxyCap

Proxify applications without proxy support

If your internet application does not support any proxy settings, you can use proxyfier tools to redirect the traffic to JonDonym and hide your ip address. Normally it works only with premium services. You can only route traffic through the free services which goes to destination port 80 or 443. These ports are mostly used for web browsing. Other Internet protocols are using different ports.

Proxy configuration settings for your proxyfier tool to use it together with JonDonym:

• Proxy type: HTTP (prefered) or SOCKS v5
• Hostname/IP address: 127.0.0.1
• Port: 4001 (Attention: If you have set up a different listen port than 4001 in JonDo you need to enter it here instead of 4001, too.)
• enable "resolve hostnames remotly"

1. Proxyfier for Windows and MacOS

You can proxify your internet applications with Proxyfier. It redirects the traffic of Flash player, Java applets and other internet applications to JonDonym. You may test it for free for 31 days, afterwards you have to buy a licence key. Proxyfier is not Freeware.

2. ProxyCap for Windows and MacOS

For Windows we suggest ProxyCap to proxify your internet applications. A tutorial for using ProxyCap you may find on the next page  with the example of Flash and Java applets anonymisation. 3. Widecap for Windows

For Windows you can use WideCap to proxify your application. A tutorial for using widecap you may find on the next but one page . You can use Widecap for free but is it not under development any more and does not run well for new Windows version.

4. proxychains for Linux and UNIX

All Linux and UNIX distributions contain proxychains. You can install it with the package manager of your distribution. A small tutorial you may on the next but two page .
