Avoid data trails on the internet: Safari

Click in the menu Safari on Preferences. A window will appear:

Select tab Security. Uncheck Enable plug-ins, Enable Java and Enable JavaScript. For cookies, select Only from sites you navigate to.

Note: These are basic settings. Using a filter proxy will offer more options for blocking content.

Test: Test these settings for anonymity using this guide.
